| Casing for Bones, Hoops, etc. (you can barely see the casing lines) For boning bodices and corsets - instead of using channels stitched into double layers of fabric, use casings. This can reduce bulk and promote cooler clothing. Casings are especially handy for adding bones to a finished garment. For hooping underskirts - Use this instead of twill tape for a sturdier casing in lighter fabrics. In a cage crinoline - Use this for the 'floating' hoops. |
